Who we are Pedro Manuel Martinez Monje

Doctor in Political Science and Sociology from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), he has developed his research in different lines related to the processes of inclusion and exclusion from an Urban Sociology perspective, focused on spatial inequalities and the effects of social exclusion on deprived neighbourhoods. He has also developed a line of research linked to the analysis of the effects of ICTs on the digital divide, e-Government and the development of digital citizenship. In the development of this line of research, it is worth mentioning the participation in projects of state scope and financing on urban social exclusion and on urban policies. At the same time, he has participated in national research on e-Government and has directed two projects on the digital divide and inclusion. The result of this research has resulted in several publications. He was a visiting professor at the Wilf Malcolm Institute of Educational Research, University of Waikato (New Zealand) in the 2014-2015 school year.
